Kitchen 911 - Ginger
Ginger is one of those ingredients that you never have when you need it. My ginger sinks and shrivels to the bottom of my veggie bowl, always unusable when I'm inspired - yet too lazy to run to the store.
To have ginger at any moment, peel it and freeze the piece whole. When a recipe calls for ginger, grate the frozen piece and add it to your recipe. Or peel it, cut it into small disks and freeze the disks. You can chop the disks as well.
Ginger has digestive aid, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant qualities!
