Hold the Flowers
Surrounded by plants on my Hudson Valley Retreat.
Hope you're well! We are two weeks away from spring and one week away from the sun setting at 6:55pm. My Grandma Levy always told me never to wish my life away. Heeding her wise words, I'm doing my best to stay patient. Yet, just the thought of more light brings me hope. Each season comes with its own energy that creates an anticipation for the next. It's why we are naturally compelled to shift with the seasons. Just like you may feel the urge to spring clean your house, you may feel the natural pull to clean up "the house" that you in live as well. As you tidy up, I wanted to share this quote to keep in mind...
"Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul." - Luther Burbank, a botanist and pioneer in American horticulture. While I always love getting and giving flowers, I'm not surprised that a plant person cultivated this notion within. Plants have the power to change your life, because we, too, are nature. When you're connected to nature around you and within you, you heal. It's the natural order of things. It's just that simple. But, I know, very hard to do. Cooking with plants and ingredients my body needs to thrive is how I began my healing journey. With a clean slate for those wellness seeds to take root, other aspects of my life came into focus and got the attention they, too, deserved. As I've grown, I've learned that it's not a one-and-done program, but a lifelong process of taking really good care of my whole self. I continue to sow those seeds for me, my family, my community at large. When we heal ourselves, everyone around us feels better too. I am running a pop-up online 3-Day SLOW Reset next Sunday, March 13-16, because I genuine believe that when we heal ourselves, we can heal the world. Please join me to clean up "your house" and plant some seeds in your spring garden. This workshop is on zoom and recorded, and includes...
1 batch cooking class
1 gentle yoga class
1 meditation
1 incredible like-minded community
3 discussions
12 amazing and easy recipes (same as January Reset)
