Portland, OR

Portland. This was a greeaaat trip we took in 2015. We’d go back now if we could. I had the best of intentions of writing about this trip upon arrival back home, but life had other plans. Luckily I kept coppice notes, and Mark and I were able to relive it meal-by-meal, drink-by-drink, and hike-by-bike. Portland is a fun city full of unexpected funky neighborhoods, divided by the Willamette River that puts the downtown, Nob Hill and city forest to the West and cool, chill neighborhoods, bike paths and distilleries on the East. Not really a pretty city, this city is pretty amazing... and it's where we had one of our favorite meals ever at Le Pigeon. We spent a week here and just pedaled the surface from food trucks to farmers markets to festivals. Sunny summer is the time to go. The rainy season leaves many buildings with a distinct Portland musty smell. All the reason to get outside!
